eBay Sues Craigslist; Old Nintendo Games and Skeevy Hook-Ups Hang in Balance

“Craigslist is firing back at its rival and minority owner eBay, scolding the online auctioneer’s actions as unethical and smelling of a hostile takeover. In a move that pits two of the Internet’s most popular sites against each other, eBay sued the online classifieds company Tuesday, alleging it unfairly tried to dilute eBay’s stake in it. eBay purchased a 28% stake in privately held Craigslist in 2004.”
But the best part is Craigslist’s response. In typical Craigslist fashion (re: angry dude who isn’t getting his way), they posted a blog entitled “Tainted Love“.
“Coming from a shareholder that views Craigslist as a prime competitor, filing suit without so much as mentioning these assertions beforehand seems unethical, and hints at ulterior motives.

So what is this, really? Is eBay trying to muscle in on the e-hookups scene? Or are they just looking to get a piece of the action on all those boss vagina couches?
Or is this just a case of a concerned, but somewhat out-of-touch parent informing their sexually slapdash underage child that, ‘no, you may not post naked pictures of yourself on MySpace’, and said child is now throwing a giant electronic tantrum?
We can only hope this goes to court, and the Solid Gold Dancers are called as witnesses. Can I hope for a supplementary Marilyn McCoo appearance as well?
Either way, you’d best get your creepy junk-pictures posted now. Before mean ol’ Uncle eBay starts charging a fucker’s fee.
